Marta Rivera is a postdoctoral researcher in cognitive psycholinguistics at the University of Les Illes Balears (Spain). Her research interests pursue the study of language learning and processing in bilingual and monolingual populations, paying special attention to the role of extrinsic and intrinsic factors to the subject that can modulate successful learning. In her research she considers factors such as the context and difficulty of the material to learn, abilities in cognitive control, age, or previous linguistic experience. Besides, she is interested in other aspects of Bilingualism and Psycholinguistics such as language co-activation during comprehension and production. She is involved in different science outreach projects to encourage language learning and use and she is an active collaborator of Women in Cognitive Science – Europe.
